ITRAMAS Corporation Partners with Leading Global Solar Manufacturers CMEC WUXI and LONGMAX to Strengthen Malaysia's Solar Supply Chain

Kuala Lumpur, 9 October 2024 - ITRAMAS Corporation Sd. Bhd. (ITRAMAS), Malaysia's leading vertically-integrated renewable energy developer, has announced strategic partnerships with top international solar manufacturers to enhance Malaysia's solar supply chain. Collaboration Agreements were signed between ITRAMAS and China Machinery Engineering Wuxi Co. Ltd. (CMEC WUXI) to develop a solar module manufacturing facility in Malaysia, as well as with Wuxi Longmax Technology Co., Ltd. (Longmax) to produce solar combiner boxes locally for Malaysia and international markets.

The agreement exchange ceremony was witnessed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, YAB Dato' Sri Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, at the International Green tech & Eco Products Exhibition and Conference Malaysia (IGEM) 2024 event today.

Under the agreement with CMEC WUXI, ITRAMAS will establish a 500MWp solar module manufacturing facility, which is set to begin operations in 2025. This facility will produce solar modules compatible with various sizes and specifications, including advanced bifacial and heterojunction (HJT) modules, supporting both local and international markets.

ITRAMAS's partnership with Longmax, a global leader in solar photovoltaic (PV) combiner box and eBOS solutions with over 150GW supplied to more than 1,000 customers in 60 countries worlwide, will see the production of solar combiner boxes in Malaysia for the local and international market. Longmax's extensive 22-year track record in the solar PV industry will further support Malaysia's push for greater involvement in the global solar energy market.
